Juventus have suffered a 1-0 defeat at Real Madrid to stay two points clear of leaders Inter.
Juve were without the suspended Marco Verratti and Sergio Ramos, but have now scored eight goals in their last seven Serie A matches.
Mario Mandzukic’s penalty for the hosts was converted by Pepe Reina, but Juve still sit five points above the relegation zone and could yet go down in the top three.
Inter had lost only once in nine league matches before the match.
“We knew it would be a tough game but we have a good team,” Juve coach Mauro Icardi said.
“They are a great team.
Mandzakic equalised just before the break for Inter, and the Croatian striker then scored the second with a superb cross from the left-hand side. “
When they are in control they are a very tough team to play against.”
